CEO Practice
In addition to its specialist sector practices AshtonPenney operates a cross-sector practice exclusively handling senior level interim
CEO appointments.
The CEO Practice is managed by John Gerry, formerly Managing Director of EIM (UK) and Whitehead Mann Interim Partnership. John himself has been MD of substantial groups in the retail, consumer and leisure sectors. John advises clients and board level interim executives on appointments in quoted and unquoted businesses, including those backed by private equity
firms.
The utilisation of interim CEO's has been one of the major growth areas
in AshtonPenney's portfolio in the past three years. This had led us to establish the
CEO Practice.
A limited number of carefully chosen interim executives have been identified as a discrete group by John Gerry as having demonstrated exceptional talent and experience in their careers to date as well as, critically, their ability to effect real and lasting change on the organisations in which they have worked. Many will also have significant experience of managing businesses on an international scale including direct exposure to global operations. In short, these are interim executives in whom we have every confidence to introduce to any situation where significant change is required.
This group also includes some senior interim CFO's and restructuring specialists. Non executive appointments are handled by AshtonPenney's specialist NED practice which is set up to work alongside the CEO Practice as appropriate.
The group meets regularly to share experiences and information about their particular markets and to advise the AshtonPenney board.
