Our private equity clients have increasingly asked us for this solution within portfolio businesses as an alternative to the risks, costs and delivery timescales of traditional search.
"Try before you buy" is becoming an increasingly attractive proposition for companies needing a senior executive who is immediately available with all the right skills without compromising on the commitment or quality of the candidate. You get the candidate you need immediately on an interim basis without any of the risks associated with recruiting an executive (severance pay, legal bills, business disruption etc). The critical gap is filled quickly and the management team capability returns to plan.
We can identify a shortlist of suitable "interim to permanent" candidates from our network of interim executives who have specifically identified this option to us during the initial interview process. The shortlist should not take materially longer to deliver than the rapid results approach for which we are renowned. It normally then takes three months or so for the parties to get to know each other sufficiently well to cement the relationship permanently. We expect to discount the introduction fee proportionately.
